After writing about 10 years in posting online I was reminded of my early Tumblr post days of posting news without all the bullshit that has continued to consume websites publishing for clicks and serving the behemoth that is Google Search Engine Optimization. Which reminded me, what if the news didn’t have that keyword, external and internal link, and character quotas? [External links still included as sources of course]
Valve is updating Steam Deck with an OLED display with better battery (30-50% average) it will cost $549 for 512GB and $649 for 1TB storage. 7.4 inch screen (previous was 7 inch) but overfall size remains the same. LCD models are decreasing in price: 64GB now $349, 256GB now $399 and 512GB now $449. 64GB and 512GB LCD models will be discontinued. No hardware performance increase. No new colors. Limited Edition will have “transclucent design” and be 1TB and cost $679.
Spider-Man 2 has sold over 5 million copies after 11 days on the market.
Sony seems to be cooling down the live service chase, with President Hiroki Totoki saying, “So the 12 titles... so six titles will be released by FY '25. That's our current plan. And the remaining six titles, as for when to be released, we are still working on that.” That’s down from the original plan of ten games by FY ‘25.
SAG-AFTRA reached a tentative deal with the AMPTP: “The negotiating committee unanimously approved the deal last Wednesday, ending the 118-day strike. The national board approved the deal on Friday, with 86% of the weighted vote in favor, and sent it to members for ratification.”
